Dallas,Texas' "Fahari Institute" welcomes Billie Simone!

On October 23rd, 2009, Billie Simone said good-bye to her “performing” hiatus, and graced the mic in Dallas, Texas at the Queerly Speaking series, hosted by the Fahari Arts Institute. It was a beautiful evening, and Dallas’ queer community packed the charming venue to capacity. Dallas notables such as “Audaciously Speaking” set the mood of the evning with bold, thought-provoking poetry. In addition to poetry, there was a monologue performance of Sharon Bridgeforth’s “Bull-Jean Stories” by “Q”of Q-Roc TV. Q’s performance received a much deserved, standing ovation with more amazing poets to follow.
